Projects
MoonMade Farms is a Humboldt County cannabis farm known for their organic sungrown cannabis, including their strains Pineapple Wonder and Cherry Moon. In 2022 I shot a full studio cannabis photography package for their signature strains covering top cola, flower portraits, 1:1 through 5:1 macro photography, 20x microscope trichome imagery, and flower video.
The microscope work produced one of the most recognized images of my career. A 20x trichome photograph of Pineapple Wonder went on to receive an Image of Distinction at the 2024 Nikon Small World Photomicrography Competition, one of the most prestigious scientific imaging competitions in the world.
Alongside the studio cannabis photography I captured a series of timelapse sequences around their Humboldt County property, documenting the landscape through astro, sunset, fog, and cloud timelapses. Work from this project was also featured in my installation at the Haight Street Art Center in San Francisco as part of “Higher Visions: Art of the Plant,” a group exhibition produced by MoonMade co-founder Tina celebrating multiple dimensions of the cannabis plant across art, photography, and the plant itself.
