Mendo Dope Boys

Mendo Dope Boys are a brother duo out of Mendocino County known for two things: music and massive cannabis plants. Their medical garden produces some biggest sungrown cannabis plants I’ve had the chance to document.

In fall 2025 I spent multiple days on location shooting a project that covered both sides of their brand. On the cannabis side I captured editorial garden photography on film and digital, full strain catalog work from top cola through flower portraits, 1:1 through 5:1 macro photography, and microscope level trichome imagery, plus flower video and macro video. On the music side I shot lifestyle photography in the garden, a music studio session, and produced their latest album cover featuring a cannabis leaf.
